Toddler Tuesday - Bones

On Tuesdays, The Preschool Scientist is going to feature a toddler activity or adaptation on the same topic as our preschool activity.

For a toddler version of our lesson on bones, you will need to either have a still intact skeleton or tape the one used for older children back together.

My toddler after our singing session.
Activity:  Sing the song – “Head, Shoulders,  Knees, and Toes” with your toddler pointing to the parts of your or thier body.  Now sing the song and point to or move the parts of skeleton as you sing about them.   Let your toddler look at the skeleton and point to the body parts as well.  The goal of this activity is to help our little ones understand that the skeleton has the same body parts as we do.   Doing this several time over the week will help reinforce both your childs body parts and thier understanding that the skeleton is just like us.
